Voiply Shield - Opal Router Setup via WiFi

We're here to help you get started and make your setup process smooth and hassle-free. Below, you'll find step-by-step instructions to help you set up your Opal router.
Note: Before we begin, please ensure you have received all the necessary components with your Opal router, including the router unit, power adapter, and Ethernet cable.
Step 1: Unboxing – Like opening a present! Carefully take out all the things in the box. You should have a device called the Voiply Opal router, a white power adapter (it looks like a little box with a cord), and an Ethernet cable (it looks like a really long phone cord).
Step 2: Physical Connections – Now we're going to connect the power. Use the white power adapter to plug the Opal router into a power outlet, just like you would plug in a lamp! Wait a bit for it to start up, kind of like when you turn on a computer.
Step 3: Wi-Fi Setup – Now grab your computer, smartphone, or tablet. Look for available Wi-Fi networks, like when you connect to the internet at a friend's house. You're looking for a network that starts with "GL-SFT1200" (Also network name located under Voiply opal router). Connect to this network. If it asks for a password, password is goodlife all lowercase.
Once you're connected, open up a web browser (like Chrome or Safari) and go to this address: http://192.168.8.1/ Just like when you visit a website! This will take you to the Opal router's web page. Go ahead and choose your language and set a new password. The password is VERY important, please write down and document. This password needs to be shared with Voiply support after setting up the next step.
Step 4: Enable GoodCloud – This might sound fancy, but it's just a program that helps us set up Voiply Shield on your Opal router. It's like a remote control for your router, allowing you to change settings from anywhere. Here's how we do it:
You may be logged in already, if not open a web browser on a device that's connected to your Opal router. In the address bar at the top, type in this address: http://192.168.8.1/ and press enter. This will take you to the Opal router's webpage.
You'll need to log in with the password you set previously. Again don't forget to write down the password because the support team will need it later.
On the left side of the page, you'll see a menu. Look for "Applications" > "Remote Access" and then "GoodCloud". Don't worry about signing up for a GoodCloud account, Voiply will do that part for you.
Now, follow these instructions to enable GoodCloud (be sure to write down your device MAC address, serial number, and device id): Or a picture of the bottom of the router will do!
a. Find the sliding box that says "Enabled GoodCloud" and click it to enable. This turns on remote management.
b. Also, make sure the "Remote Web Access" option is enabled. This lets you access your router settings over the internet.
c. Under "Data Server," pick "America" from the dropdown menu. This means your data will be stored on a server located in the Americas region.
After you've done all that, be sure to click and accept terms of service, and find the "Apply" button at the bottom of the GoodCloud setup page and click it. This saves your settings and activates remote management for your Opal router.
Great job! Your Opal router is now ready with GoodCloud for remote control. Now, you need to chat with our support team to finish up the setup. Remember all the information we gathered earlier - the MAC address, serial number, device id, and the admin password you set up? Make sure you have that handy.
