Outgoing Call Restrictions

“NPA” stands for Number Plan Area, commonly called Area Code. “NXX” refers to the three digits of a phone number immediately following the area code, also called the “exchange” or the “Central Switching Office Designation. In the number (555) 222-3333, the NPA is “555” and the NXX is “222”.

With this information we can get a little bit of insight in to what is being blocked, this block is for outgoing calls to certain NPANXXs - a large number of fraud has occurred with these NPANXXs and to help ensure our customers safety was have restricted outbound calls. Some of these numbers are popular with free conference calling providers, and free conference calling numbers are not supported by the service. If a conference solution is required, the account can upgraded to a business account to add our free Conferencing app.

Outgoing dialing has been restricted to these numbers due to a high volume of fraud activity. Due to fraud dialing cannot be enabled on these types of numbers.
