Setting Up IVR Timeout Options for Voiply Online

Written by Ryan Lowe

When using the Auto Attendant Call Scenario, it is possible to setup options that will be used after the caller listens to your greeting, but does not choose any options. Simply click enabled and then pick a time that is longer than your greeting:

In the example above, we can see that the greeting message is 22 seconds long. The default timeout in seconds is setup to 35, the timeout should always be longer than the greeting message.

Another example would be that if your greeting message length is 40 seconds, you would want to adjust the timeout accordingly.

Once the timeout in second is correct, you can choose how to route the call:

The options can be setup to ring one extension, a group of extensions, announcement or a voicemail.

The voicemail option can be setup as a general mailbox, simply fill out the email address you wish to use, and the message you would like to have.

Once you have setup all of the options, please click Apply Changes at the top of the page to update the configuration.
