How To Use Your Answering Machine for Voiply Online Business

If you would like to use your own answering machine that is built into your phone, Voiply has your covered! This guide will give you a walk through on how to accomplish that.



From your portal, you can click the pencil icon to edit your extension, then simply change the Voicemail option to "No Voicemail", this will engage your answering machine if its enabled, rather than the Voiply Voicemail.





Simply click Save changes after, and then from the main portal page click the Apply Changes button. After a few moments, everything will be updated and calls can you answered by your answering machine. (Please refer to the manual that came with your phone/answering machine for further instruction how how to configure messages, times, etc.)






Please note: There is not a way to entirely disable voicemail, after 10 rings with the No Voicemail setting, the call will route to the Voiply Voicemail, which will then be sent to the email that has been configured.
