How to Port Your Number to Voiply: A Step-by-Step Guide

For many customers, keeping their existing phone number when switching to a new service provider is important. At Voiply, we understand this and have made the process straightforward. This support article provides a step-by-step guide to porting your number to Voiply.

Step 1: Check Portability

Before initiating the porting process, it's important to check whether your current number is eligible. You can do this by entering your number on our 'Number Portability Checker' page on our website here.

Step 2: Sign Up with Voiply

Once you've confirmed that your number is portable, the next step is to sign up for a Voiply account. During the sign-up process, you'll be asked if you want to keep your existing number. Select this option during signup.

Step 3: Provide Required Information

After completing the signup process you'll reach our portal page. You will be prompted to provide some additional information. This usually includes account number and pin from your existing carrier.

Please note, the information you provide must match exactly with what your current provider has on file.

Step 4: Wait for Confirmation

Once you've submitted all the required information, Voiply will begin the porting process. This can take anywhere from 7-10 business days, depending on your current provider. We will keep you updated on the status of your port request via email.

Step 5: Complete the Switch

Once your number has been successfully ported to Voiply, we will notify you. At this point, the switch to Voiply is completed. Please test inbound calling.
