Voiply Shield - Opal Router Setup

We're here to help you get started and make your setup process smooth and hassle-free. Below, you'll find step-by-step instructions to help you set up your Opal router.
Note: Before we begin, please ensure you have received all the necessary components with your Opal router, including the router unit, power adapter, and Ethernet cable.
Step 1: Unboxing
Carefully open the package and take out all the components.
Verify that you have the Opal router, a power adapter, and an Ethernet cable.
Step 2: Physical Connections
Connect one end of the provided Ethernet cable to your broadband modem.
Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the "WAN" or "Internet" port on the Opal router.
Connect the Opal router to a power source using the provided power adapter.
Step 3: Power On
Power on your Opal router by pressing the power button, usually located on the rear or side of the router.
Wait for the router to start up. This may take a few minutes.
Step 4: Wi-Fi Setup
Using your computer, smartphone, or tablet, search for available Wi-Fi networks.
Look for a network named "Opal-XXXX" (XXXX represents a unique identifier for your router).
Select this network and connect to it. You may be prompted to enter a password; this can usually be found on a label on the router itself.
Once connected, open a web browser and navigate to the following address: http://192.168.8.1/
You should now see the Opal router's web interface. (Login information is on the underside of the Opal)
Step 5: Enable GoodCloud
GoodCloud is the remote management software needed to set up Voiply Shield on your Opal router. This allows you to easily manage and monitor your router's settings from anywhere. Here's how to enable GoodCloud:
Open a web browser on a device connected to your Opal router.
In the address bar, enter the following URL: http://192.168.8.1/ - Login or set admin password on Opal (Please be sure to write down admin password, support team will need it.)
On the left of the main menu you will see Applications -> GoodCloud (Please note at this time you do not need to sign up for a GoodCloud account, Voiply will handle this for you.)
Follow the instructions in the documentation to enable GoodCloud (please be sure to note your device MAC address, serial number, and device id):
a. Tick the "Enabled GoodCloud" checkbox to enable remote management.
b. Ensure that the "Remote Web" option is also ticked to allow remote access via the web.
c. Under "Data Server," select "America" from the dropdown menu. This ensures that your data is stored on a server located in the Americas region.
Once you have configured these settings, click the "Apply" button on the GoodCloud setup page. This will save your preferences and activate remote management for your Opal router.

Your Opal router is now set up with GoodCloud for remote management. Please chat in with our support team to complete the setup process. Please be sure to have the information gather above handy - The MAC address, serial number, device id, and the admin password you had setup.
