How to configure Zoiper 5 for Desktop


This article will guide you through registering your extension on Zoiper 5 desktop

You may gather the information to help you with setup from Services > Softphones > then use the dropdown to select your account.

Start by downloading the application - https://www.zoiper.com/en/voip-softphone/download/current

While the application is downloading, please visit your portal at https://my.voiply.com to gather your login information.

Under Services > Softphone - select your extension to view your login information.

Once the application is installed, launch the application. 

(You will receive a welcome screen which gives you the option to activate a premium license, Learn more or you may Continue as a free user.)

We will select Continue as a Free User

Enter in your account credentials
Username / login = ExtensionNumber@vpl***.govoiply.com
Password = Sip Password
Once entered, Click Login



You will be prompted to fill in your hostname, This should auto populate based on what you have entered in the previous screen so you may click Next.



You will then be presented with Authentication and Outbound proxy. Please use the proxy listed in your portal. From Services > Softphones > Then click on your extension to see the outbound proxy.



Zoiper will now test your network and automatically configure the software based on your network. At least 1 protocol should be found. Once one is found and all have finished searching you may click Next




Once configured you will be taken to the Zoiper Home screen.
Here you can access the Dialpad to the right of Find A Contact , Or access the Settings to the right of your account
